TOWN HALL bosses have been forced to go to the High Court in a bid to expand a popular primary.
Merton asked the Office of the Schools Adjudicator for permission to expand Wimbledon Chase primary because of soaring demand, but the request was rejected. The council wanted to increase the reception class intake from 60 to 90 and was backed by residents and headteachers of neighbouring schools.
