I WRITE in response to the mayor's letter of July 2 criticising Cr Heather Tanguay's commitment to community forums aimed at consulting with the public on council business.

Mr Bell-Booth suggests that the idea of community forums that encourage the citizens of Palmerston North to actively participate in the running of our city is a waste of time and money, an opinion that I regard as extremely concerning coming from the mayor of our city.
