LABOUR has been consistently progressive in its tax and benefit reforms, helping poorer pensioners and families with children while raising taxes for the better off.
Yet in their manifesto plans for tax and benefits, the Conservatives and especially the Liberal Democrats are promising to do more for poorer households than Labour.
