COMPLAINTS about train services have risen by more than a quarter in the last year.
Critical comments sent to watchdog the Rail Passengers Council rose 26 per cent in the year to April, from 7,363 to 9,274. The first increase in four years, it was sparked by chaos over sales of advance tickets at Christmas and Easter, when new timetables took effect and the booking system crashed The RPC deals with "second stage" complaints, sent to it by commuters who are not satisfied with the response of train operators or other authorities.See the full content of this document
