EXPERTS lectured us last week that parents should not play competitive games with their children for fear of inflicting psychological damage. This clearly had not reached darkest Wiltshire, where l played a fathersandsons cricket match of great ferocity at the weekend.
The sons made full use of their greater athleticism, quickly realising there was an easy single to all fielders, unable to bend down in time, however close we stood to the wicket.
