DRINKS giant Coca-Cola is to pay $137.5 million ([pounds]69.4 million) to settle a lawsuit that claimed it artificially inflated sales to boost its share price.
Shareholders launched the legal action against Coke in 2000, alleging the firm had forced some bottlers to buy hundreds of millions of dollars of unnecessary beverage concentrate to make its sales seem higher.See the full content of this document
