PARLEZ-VOUS "body con"? The trend for body-conscious clothing is one of the biggest of the season, with celebrities falling over themselves to wear short, tight dresses that hug their curves (or lack of) like a lover. And who can blame them? Any old jelly-belly can carry off a smock, but only the truly toned, honed and confident can do body con.

Unsullied by PMT bloat, on Tuesday night I tried to do body con myself, for the first time since I was 12. It would be dark at the Kate Moss dinner, I figured, and all eyes would be on the fringed one anyway.
