I AM writing with regard to the recent Civil Union bill which is being considered in New Zealand.

I am 19 years old and this bill scares me! When I get older I don't want to have to live in a country which doesn't even recognise the value of marriage. How can we be expected to live in a society which promotes the unimportance of marriage and ultimately, family?
