PAUL KEHOE, boss of DX Services, the private mail company which has just been bought out by Candover for Pounds 350 million, reckons he has overseen the development of a powerful brand since he arrived from running Luton airport last year. "It's become a verb," Kehoe proclaims. "People talk about 'dxing' their mail." he said. Sadly, the Oxford English Dictionary has obviously never had anything "dxed" to them as it fails to include the term.

Olympians are chuckling that Ken Livingstone apparently refers to his key partner on the project, David Higgins - chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority - as Doctor Death.
