CHARLTON were today completing the signing of Senegal defender Souleymane Diawara for Pounds 4million from French club Sochaux, writes Leo Spall.

Uruguay midfielder Omar Pouso was also finalising a yearlong loan at The Valley with a view to a permanent deal from South American side Penarol. Only the results of their medicals can hold up the deals.
