EVERY girl needs a hero and usually, its daddy. But daddy didnt cut it at Luella Bartleys show: instead, superhero Batman flew in for the occasion, a key inspiration for her spring 2008 collection.
Fans of Luellas trademark prom dresses need not fret, however, for there wasnt a tight grey Batman costume in sight. Only the Batman logo was in evidence, appearing as a repeat pattern on a slim black shantung silk trousersuit, or as a discreet yellow logo on a pale grey or beige cashmere twinset.
