Summary
IT is tragic that so many young people today have cancer. This was a thing that was not very common 20 or 30 years ago. It seems that there is a strong correlation between the age of the cancer victims and the time that TV arrived in New Zealand.
I have owned about a dozen TVs since the mid-50s, both in New Zealand and the UK, and never once have I had a warning regarding the danger of radiation, or being too close to the set for long periods. I have only had one computer and on the instructions in setting it up, it came up loud and clear to be aware of the dangers of radiation. I would like to know why there has been no such warnings on TV sets? Would it be that there is too much money involved, and the makers and programme producers do not want the public to know -- just as the tobacco companies kept quiet about their products causing cancer?See the full content of this document
