TORY WHITE hope David Cameron has broken his first public pledge by failing to try to stop smoking cigarettes, as he promised he would last week on television. "I'm going to give up," the prospective Conservative leader said on a BBC2 Newsnight film shown on 5 December, the day before he was elected.
He went on to state categorically that, if he was chosen, he would kick the habit on 7 December, the day after his coronation. Yet his press secretary George Eustice now tells the Londoner that, nine days into his new job, Cameron hasn't even tried to give up.See the full content of this document
