THE United Nations today nearly doubled its appeal for donations for victims of the South Asia earthquake to Pounds 309.4million.
"We need more resources to save between two million and three million lives and we need much more resources in the next few days," Jan Egeland, head of the UN Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said in explaining the need to raise the appeal's target from Pounds 175.6million.See the full content of this document
