IS A French energy company trying to thwart British theatre? Yesterday a soldout matinee performance of the West End hit show Calendar Girls, starring Lynda Bellingham and Patricia Hodge, had to be cancelled at the last minute due to a power cut at the Noel Coward Theatre in St Martin's Lane.
This left legions of ladies who had arrived to enjoy the performance disappointed and the producers very put out. Estimates as to the cost of cancellation hover around Pounds 30,000 as all the tickets will now be refunded.See the full content of this document
