Brussels Sues Intel Over Sales Tactics

Summary


INTEL, whose chips are used in almost a billion computers worldwide, is being sued by Brussels for allegedly breaking competition laws.

The charges, which follow a sixyear probe, could lead to $3.5 billion (1.7 billion) in fines and force Intel to change its sales practices. It is accused of illegally discounting its products in its price war with rival Advanced Micro Devices.
