AS ALL eyes turn this September to a projected Labour Party conference meltdown and another Dave Cameron conference triumph, Nick Clegg will not be happy to hear that the trial of his party's biggest-ever donor, Michael Brown, is to clash with the Lib Dem conference.
Brown, who jumped bail last month, is due to start trial on 15 September, which falls on the Monday of their conference. The 42- year-old Glaswegian, who is accused of a series of multimillion pound frauds dating back to 2005, was not in court to receive his trial date yesterday.See the full content of this document
