Summary

West leads the king of clubs to dummy's ace.

How will you tackle 6S? You begin with the ace and queen of trumps, pleased to see the 3-2 trump break. The plan now is to ruff two clubs in the dummy; you may then be able to throw one of your two remaining losers on dummy's diamonds, even if the suit breaks 4- 1. You ruff a club with the jack, return to your hand with the ace of diamonds and ruff another club with dummy's 10. East discards two hearts, meanwhile, retaining his guard in diamonds. You are now in dummy, with no immediate entry to your hand to draw the last trump. No matter! You continue with the king and queen of diamonds.
