THE perception that boys don't achieve well at school is being broken at Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School.
Boys outshone the girls in the Australasian Schools Science competition at the school. Some 12 pupils achieved a distinction, by scoring between 90 and 98 percent, and one, Jeremy Young, was awarded a high distinction for scoring 99 or 100 percent.
