ACTING BBC Director-General Mark Byford was doing his best to muster his forces last night at the Sony Radio Awards. Byford, who had been in pole position to take over at the BBC before Michael Grade's appointment as Chairman, was keen to impress upon his DJs what a groovy old soul he really is.
Byford swaggered over to soon-to-be Radio 2 DJ Mark Radcliffe and the two proceeded to play a game called 'Rock Lists' in which both sides showed off their ability to remember details of band members and track numbers.See the full content of this document
