A SERB leader goes on trial today accused of helping to mastermind the ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Muslims. Momcilo Krajisnik, 59, was head of the breakaway Bosnian parliament when thousands of Muslims and Serbs were rounded up and executed.

Krajisnik is pleading innocent at a UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
