SIR Ian Blair came under fresh pressure to quit today after Conservative mayoral candidate Boris Johnson said his position was untenable.
Mr Johnson toughened his position on the Metropolitan Police chief after Tory MPs started questioning why he had not been more decisive in expressing his views. He told the Standard: "His position is clearly untenable." Mr Johnson's latest comments marked a clear dividing line in the mayoral race between himself and Ken Livingstone, who has given his full backing to Sir Ian.
