DAVID BLUNKETT will be fuming. A Very Social Secretary, Alistair Beaton's new film about the former Home Secretary's affair with Kimberly Quinn, depicts Blunkett as a snobbish, sexcrazed grouch. "He is just a horny middle-aged man who wants to get a quick service before getting back to the red boxes," says the Kimberly character at one point. Quinn herself, along with Tony and Cherie Blair, are relentlessly mocked in the film.
Executive producer David Aukin told me at a screening of the film held at the Soho Hotel this morning that Blunkett is "monitoring" the comedy drama.See the full content of this document
