Summary


I SEE that the latest effort of supporters of Mr Blair to suggest that he might go on and on, as Mrs Thatcher said she would, but in fact did not, is to start a rumour that Gordon Brown might head up the IMF, hence removing at a stroke the Prime Minister's most likely successor.

Meanwhile, Blair himself used the 20th anniversary of the miners' strike on 5 March to make a special speech in his own, former mining, constituency, where he failed to mention the strike but instead justified yet again his warmongering policies. As Neil Kinnock might have once said: and this is a Labour Prime Minister.
