THE MOST dramatic development at Mark Birley's funeral this week was that Mark's Eton chum Peter Blond, younger brother of publisher Anthony Blond, drew attention to the two Birley grandchildren, Eben and Maud, by name in his address. Previously, despite the high profile lives of the Birley family, they have not been mentioned publicly.
