Bin Laden Killer Frosted Over ; the Londoner's Diary

Summary

IS Sir David Frost a few questions short of an interview these days? In early November, when Frost interviewed the late Benazir Bhutto on his weekly programme Frost Over The World for Al Jazeera, the former Pakistan PM made a startling assertion which Frostie failed to pick up on.

The discussion centred on the 18 October attempt on Bhutto's life in Karachi which left 158 people dead. Bhutto launched into allegations about "three individuals" she felt to be responsible for the attack who wanted "to stop the restoration of democracy" in Pakistan. Frost asked if these unidentified people were linked to the government, to which Bhutto replied that "one of them is a very key figure in security" who had dealings with, among others, "Omar Sheikh, the man who murdered Osama bin Laden".
