WHAT should have been a wonderful day spent at the Esplanade on Sunday turned into an upsetting experience for my 16-year-old daughter, thanks to thieves.
Jessica has special needs. Wanting to be independent, she had decided she would bike to the Esplanade to meet up with her good friend Conrad. I tried to talk her into coming along with me in the car, but she had decided she was old enough to make her own way without mum and dad.
