THE first season in Britain of French performing arts starts this weekend.

Contemporary drama, circus and dance will be shown at about 20 venues, many in London, in a sevenmonth festival. The French Institute has worked with the British Council, the Arts Council and others to bring the most cutting edge performers to England.
