FOREIGN Secretary Margaret Beckett was today engulfed in a row over casualties during the Falklands conflict.

She came under fire from MPs and war veterans after expressing "continuing regret" for both Argentinian and British deaths during the military action 25 years ago. Mrs Beckett was accused of putting the loss of 255 British lives in the war on a par with those of the invading Argentinians. She also faced anger for failing to highlight the heroism of British forces in liberating the Falklands Islands.
