Last week I noted that media mogul Richard Desmond had incurred the disapproval of new Jewish Chronicle editor David Rowan, who questioned his suitability as president of children's charity Norwood.
Michael Teacher, chairman of Norwood, and Norma Brier, its chief executive, have now hit back, writing a memo on 25 May to all Norwood trustees, council and committee members, urging them to look kindly upon Desmond.
