LONDON shares clawed back losses today although a jittery opening on Wall Street left traders fretting again about ongoing volatility.
The FTSE 100 index of leading shares spent much of the morning firmly positive, at one stage jumping nearly 100 points, but after the Dow Jones Industrial Average wobbled this evening, much of that gain slipped away.
