SOME good news for Rosie Mortimer following the sad loss of her father, Sir John Mortimer, creator of Rumpole of the Bailey, who died in January aged 85.
Rosie and her fiance, George Vjestica, a guitarist in band Groove Armada, are expecting their first baby. George is 17 years older than the 25-year-old writer Rosie, so large age gaps between partners are becoming something of a family tradition for the Mortimers. Sir John was 23 years older than his wife Penny, Rosie's mother. They might follow Sir John's example by having a large family.See the full content of this document
