AVIVA, the Norwich Union insurance giant, today moved to dampen speculation it is poised for a massive acquisition in the US.
The company denied reports that it had tabled an offer of almost $3 billion (Pounds 1.7 billion) for AmerUs, one of its American rivals, saying: "Aviva confirms it has not made such a proposal and no discussions with AmerUs are taking place."See the full content of this document
