FOURTEEN years ago, Peter Chapple-Hyam was denied victory in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe when White Muzzle was beaten a neck by Urban Sea.

Since then the trainer's career may not have gone entirely smoothly but, buoyed with confidence by the condition of antepost favourite Authorized, Chapple-Hyam believes that at Longchamp on Sunday, he will belatedly send out the winner of Europe's premier end-of-season middle-distance contest.
