LORD Sugar, the new Government Business Tsar, has just filed his entry in the House of Lords' register of interests and it must rank as one of the longest in the book. The businessman says he is a 100 per cent owner of two companies, Amsprop London Ltd and Amsprop Group limited, and then goes on to list no fewer than 53 subsidiary companies. It makes for illuminating reading not least because he discloses he leases property to the Midland Bank in Clacton for Pounds 465 per annum and he lets a freehold to the Liverpool Housing Trust for a peppercorn rent.
He also receives support services from two executives at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, to assist in his role as an adviser to the Government. And he refers to his wife as 'Lady Ann Sugar' which of course is complete nonsense. She should be addressed as Lady Sugar.See the full content of this document
