IT WAS, by most standards, a very desirable home. But when Robert and Pauline Munro spent Pounds 1.2 million on a Thirties house in the heart of the stockbroker belt they decided to raze it to the ground.
However, they did not apply for permission for the demolition, nor for the new house they began to build on the site.
