Phone Hacking Evidence Could Be Televised at Judicial Inquiry
EVIDENCE from celebrities, politicians and relatives of crime victims could be televised as part of the judicial inquiry into media phone-hacking. Discreet fixed television cameras will be installed in the courtroom to record evidence from witnesses who could include Sienna Miller, JK Rowling, Madeleine McCann's parents Kate and Gerry, and the family of Milly Dowler, who are all key participants in the tribunal led by Lord Justice Leveson. Broadcast footage would show witnesses being examined.
Ftse Falls Below 5000 As Greece Debt Fears Grow
THE FTSE sank below 5000 this morning as fears grew over a Greek default with European leaders refusing to sign off a fresh cash injection for Athens. London's blue chip shares index was down more than two per cent at 4964 mid-morning, with banks seeing sharp falls.
WITNESSES today told of the horrifying moment a female cyclist was hit and killed by a lorry outside King's Cross station. The student, aged in her early 20s, has not been identified. She suffered fatal head injuries when she was crushed under the wheels of the heavy goods vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, the junction of Pentonville Road and King's Cross Road, at 11.40am yesterday. She was the 13th cyclist to die on London's roads this year.

Almost two thirds of students who went to independent school said that the teaching they had at school was superior to their university tuition, while less than half of state school students said the same.
